Wendu Tibetan Township
Wendu Tibetan Township, a township under the jurisdiction of Xunhua Salar Autonomous County, Haidong City, Qinghai Province, is located in the southwest of Xunhua Salar Autonomous County, bounded by Baizhuang town in the East, Gangcha Tibetan Township in the south, galeng Township in the West and Jiezi town in the north. The administrative area is 224.88 square kilometers.

History of construction
In 1953, it was the Wendu Tibetan Autonomous Region (Level 5).
In the early 1960s, the township was divided into Wendu and zhongku communes.
In 1965, the two communes merged into Wendu commune.
In 1984, Wendu Tibetan township was established.

By the end of 2011, Wendu Tibetan countryside had 16 administrative villages: Waku, rimang, Jiangjia, yasun, xiuzang, Gongma, lalongwa, laxiong, Xiangyu, baicaomao, Danma, ladai, Maoyu, Hewa, wangcangma, chuzi; 34 natural villages and 52 production cooperatives.
As of October 2019, Wendu Tibetan countryside has jurisdiction over 16 administrative villages: laxiong village, Xiangyu village, baicaomao village, ladai village, Danma village, Maoyu village, Hewa village, wangcangma village, chuozi village, lalongwa village, xiuzang village, Gongma village, yaxun village, Jiangjia village, rimang village and Waku village.

Wendu Tibetan township is located in the southwest of Xunhua County. It is high in the East and low in the West. It is surrounded by mountains on three sides and alternated with valleys. There are four main peaks in the territory, namely, Mengzi mountain, Taizi mountain, Yangli mountain and zezi mountain. The highest peak is Zishan. The main peak is located in the southwest of Wendu Township, with an altitude of 4246 meters. The main rivers in the territory are zhongkugou River, xiangyugou River, maoyugou River, nalun River, Shamao River and Danma River, which flow into Wendu river for more than 10 kilometers and into the Yellow River in Jiezi town.

History and culture
Wendu, also known as "Biandu", means "the lower part of Niudu mountain" in Tibetan. Because there is a hillside on the side of Nalang mountain in the south of the county, which is called "Vila" in Tibetan, that is "Niudu mountain", Wendu is named after its lower part.
