Gandu town
Gandu Town, subordinate to Hualong Hui Autonomous County, Haidong City, Qinghai Province, is located in the southeast of Hualong Hui Autonomous County and on the North Bank of the Yellow River. It faces Xunhua County across the river in the south, dehenglong Township and ashnu Township in the west, xiejiatan Township and shidacang Township in the North. It is 27 kilometers away from the county, with a total area of 160.84 square kilometers.
During the period of the Republic of China, gandu town was established in the area of gandu town. In 1984, it was changed from gandu commune to gandu town again. By the end of 2018, the population of registered residence in GD town was 31485. In 2019, gandu town governs 2 communities and 28 administrative villages.
In 2018, there were 21 industrial enterprises in gandu Town, including one above scale and 23 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
During the period of the Republic of China, gandu town was established.
In 1950, it belonged to yaluhu Township and Lamu township.
In 1956, yaluhu, Lamu and other townships were merged into gandu township.
In 1958, gandu township was changed into gandu commune.
In 1984, gandu commune was changed into gandu town.

In 2011, gandu town had 25 administrative villages, including gandu street, Shuiche, Xitan, Ahua, Yamu, tangsigang, yaluhu, suhejia, guanba, ahetan, Dongtan 1, Dongtan 2, Dongtan 3, Dongtan 4, Dongtan 5, Dongtan 6, Dongtan 7, Dongfeng, Qiaotou, shangsihesheng, xiasihesheng, Lamu, lieyujia, zhuhulong, gongshijia, and 86 production cooperatives.
In 2019, gandu town governs gandu community and Gongboxia community, including yaluhu village, suhejia village, guanba village, ahetan village, Dongyi village, Donger village, Dongsan village, Dongsi village, Dongwu village, Dongliu village, Dongqi village, Dongfeng Village, Qiaotou village, xiasihesheng village, shangsihesheng village, gongshijia village, zhuhulong village, Lamu village, liebujia village, gandujie village and Shuiche village Village, Xitan village, Ahua village, tangsigang village, Yamu village, Longkang 1st Village, Longkang 2nd village and Longkang 3rd village.
