Small towns, belonging to Shulan City, Jilin Province, are located in the southeast of Shulan City, bordering Xin'an Township in the East, Shangying town and Tianbei township of Jiaohe City in the south, Erdao Township in the west, shujiao Township and Kaiyuan Township in the north. They are 27 kilometers away from Shulan City, covering an area of 474 square meters.
During the period of the Republic of China, small towns belonged to the three districts of Shulan County, and set up small town Zibao; in December 1992, they changed from small town to small town. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in small towns was 20783. As of June 2020, small towns have 1 community and 10 administrative villages, and the town people's government is located in Xiaochengzi street.
In 2018, there were 3 industrial enterprises in small towns and 50 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
During the period of the Republic of China, it belonged to the three districts of Shulan county and set up the small town Zibao. During the period of the Japanese puppet regime, Xiaochengzi village was replaced by Xiaochengzi village. In 1945, Xiaochengzi village was transformed into Xiaochengzi district. In February 1947, it was assigned to Yongbei County, and Xiaochengzi district was renamed Xiaocheng district; in November of the same year, it was assigned to Shulan county.
In July 1956, Xiaocheng district was changed into Xiaochengzi township.
In October 1958, small cities and towns were transformed into small city communes.
In November 1984, it was changed from small town commune to small town.
In December 1992, it was changed from a small town to a small town.
