Axia Township

Axia Township, belonging to Diebu County, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Gansu Province, is located in the southwest of Diebu County, adjacent to Duoer Township in the East, xiliandala Township in Jiuzhai County, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture of Sichuan Province in the South and wangzang Township in the north. The area is 302.8 square kilometers. In 2018, 1249 people registered residence.

Before 1949, it belonged to the xiadie District of Zhuoni county. In October 1957, a Xia township was established. In 1958, it merged with Duoer township. In 1959, along with the xiadie commune, it was assigned to longdie county. In 1962, it was transferred to Diebu county and restored to axia township. In June 2020, axia Township governs two administrative villages.
