Luoda town
Luoda Town, belonging to Diebu County, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu Province, is located in the east of Diebu county. It is connected with bazang township of Zhouqu County in the East, quwa Township and Duoer township of Zhouqu County in the south, wangzang and Sangba townships in the west, Lazikou Township in the north and Dang County of Longnan City in the northeast. The area is 254.56 square kilometers. In 2018, 5241 people registered residence.
In 1954, Luoda township was designated as Zhouqu County. In 1958, Luoda, bazang and Lijie in Zhouqu County were merged into bazang commune, and Luoda was called management area. In 1959, Luoda commune was established, and daozang and Chabu villages were assigned to Sangba commune. Diebu county was founded in 1962, which divided Luoda commune into Luoda and Lazi townships. In 2017, the township was removed and the town was built. In June 2020, Luoda town governs six administrative villages.
In 2018, Luoda town has 4 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
Historical evolution
In 1954, Luoda township was designated as Zhouqu County.
In 1958, Luoda, bazang and Lijie in Zhouqu County were merged into bazang commune, and Luoda was called management area.
In 1959, Luoda commune was established, and daozang and Chabu villages were assigned to Sangba commune.
Diebu county was founded in 1962, which divided Luoda commune into Luoda and Lazi townships.
In 2017, the township was removed and the town was built.

Luoda town is located on both sides of Bailong River in the east of the county, in the valley where min and Dieshan mountains face each other across the river. The main mountain range is Dieshan mountain range. The highest peak is 4.6 km northeast of Luba village, with an altitude of 4206 meters. The lowest point is at heishuigoukou, which is at the junction with Zhouqu County, with an altitude of 1600 meters.

Luoda Town River belongs to Bailong River Basin, Bailong River flows from west to East through the whole territory for 20 kilometers, with a drainage area of 123 square kilometers. Laziqu and sangbaqu converge in Gongjian village, and flow southward through jianzang village, yudaigushi and into Bailong River. The total length of the territory is 6 km, the drainage area is 78 square kilometers, the annual runoff is 170 million cubic meters, and the average annual flow is 5.4 cubic meters per second.
