Le Xiu town

Lexiu Town, subordinate to Hezuo city of Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Gansu Province, is located in the south of Hezuo City, bordering on Malu Township and wanmao township of Zhuoni County in the East, ALA township of Luqu County in the west, and Nawu Township, Bola Township and Maixi township of Xiahe County in the north. The area is 453.63 square kilometers. In 2018, 9701 people registered residence.

In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), two townships, Heping and Xinyi, were established. In 1968, chin ditch commune was established. In 1983, it was changed to chingou township. In 1986, it was renamed Lexiu township. In 2006, Lexiu Township and the original jiamaogong Township were merged into Lexiu township. Before January 1, 1998, it was under the jurisdiction of Xiahe County, and then it was taken over by Hezuo city. In April 2017, the township was removed to build a town. In June 2020, 10 administrative villages will be under the jurisdiction of Lexiu town.

Lexiu town is located in the northeast edge of the Qinghai Tibet Plateau. The terrain is high in the north and low in the south. It is hilly in the northwest and forest and valley in the southeast. The main mountains are rinama, qiamunekka, sangruka, caideka, etc. qiamunekka, the highest peak in the territory, is located in Mala village, with an altitude of 3505 meters, and Saiwu Road, the lowest point, is located in ehe village.
