Songhua Street

Songhua street is under the jurisdiction of Panlong District, Kunming City, Yunnan Province. It was formed by merging Songhua Township with Xiaohe Township and shuangshao township of Guandu District in January 2005. In August 2009, the township was removed and the street was rebuilt.

It is located in the northwest of Panlong District, 30km away from the seat of Panlong District government. The road to Panlong District government is asphalt road with convenient transportation, 30km away from Kunming city. It is adjacent to Dabanqiao town of Guandu District in the East, Shuanglong Township, Longquan sub district office and Ciba sub district office in the south, Changkou Township and Shalang township of Wuhua District in the west, Aziying Township and Baiyi township of Songming County in the north. It has jurisdiction over 8 village committees, including Xiaohe, Huihui, Tuanjie, and 50 villager groups. At present, there are 3616 households with a population of 11203 (in 2010), 10870 agricultural population and 6573 labor force, among which 4961 are engaged in the primary industry. The township covers an area of 119.5 square kilometers, with an altitude of 1958-2459 meters. The annual average temperature is 14 ℃, and the annual precipitation is 976 mm. It is suitable for planting corn, tobacco, vegetables, wheat and other crops. There are 19854.2 mu of cultivated land, 1.77 mu of cultivated land per capita and 125607 mu of forest land. In 2008, the total economic income of the village was 242.39 million yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers was 2852 yuan. The main income of farmers is farming. It was called yangwuli in Yuan Dynasty. The Republic of China belongs to Longquan town and Cangzhu township of Kunming county. It was the Fourth District of Kunming County in 1950, the seventh district of Kunming City in 1953, Longquan District in 1956, Longquan commune in 1958, Xiaohe commune and shuangshao commune in 1961, Xiaohe office and shuangshao office in 1984, Xiaohe Township and shuangshao Township in 1988. In 1997, Xiaohe Township, with an area of 62.5 square kilometers and a population of 4000, governed four administrative villages, namely Xiaohe, Sanjia, Tuanjie and Huihui; shuangshao Township, with an area of 55 square kilometers and a population of 5000, governed four administrative villages, namely Shuangyu, Dashao, Dabai and Xinjie. In 2004, 2 townships were transferred from Guandu District to Panlong District. In 2005, shuangshao Township and Xiaohe Township were abolished and Songhua township was merged to set up two offices. The first office was set up in the former Xiaohe township government office, and the second office was set up in the former shuangshao township government office. In 2006, there were 8 administrative villages in Xiaohe, Sanjia, Tuanjie, Huihui, Shuangyu, Dabai, Xinjie and Dashao, and the township government was stationed in Xiaohe.
