Wencun Township
It is located in the south of Zhaohua District, Guangyuan City, Sichuan Province. It is adjacent to Yonghe Township and Longwang township of Cangxi County in the East and south, bolingou town in the West and Wangjia town in the north. It covers an area of 42.92 square kilometers. It has jurisdiction over 7 villages and 44 groups with a total population of 5246 (2017).
General situation
Han nationality. The township government is located in SHUANGLONGQIAO village, 47 kilometers away from Yuanba district. It is named after the homonym "village" with the word "Wen" in Wenchang temple and the word "Chun" in laichunba.
Historical evolution
Wencun township was established in 1951, belonging to Wangjia district. In 1953, Yuntai township was withdrawn and Yuntai, Xinhua and Qianjin villages were merged. In 1958, Jianwen village people's commune was established. Wencun township was established in 1984. It belongs to Weizi District in 1986. In 1989, it belonged to Yuanba district. In 1992, it was returned to Wangjia town. In 1995, Wencun township was restored. on December 24, 2019, Wencun township will be abolished, and the administrative areas of Wencun community, Yinfeng village, Zhuguo village, Shuanglong Village, Dangyang village, Changling village and BAMIAO village in shijingpu town will be under the jurisdiction of bolingou town; the administrative areas of Yuntai village, Zuogong village, Ronghua village, ironing Village, Daojiao village and Xinhua Village in Jinxian town will be under the jurisdiction of Wangjia town.

Wencun Township Party committee and government take a variety of measures to do a good job in rice pest control work. First, attach great importance to and strengthen leadership. Wencun township has set up a leading group for the unified prevention and control of rice diseases and insect pests, with the head of the township as the group leader, the chairman of the National People's Congress in charge of agriculture as the Deputy group leader, and the relevant responsible persons as members. The township party committee and government take the unified prevention and control of rice diseases and insect pests as the current important work, making unified arrangements and deployment. The second is to strengthen publicity and create an atmosphere for general prevention. Rural agricultural technical personnel use radio, blackboard newspaper, publicity materials and other forms to carry out extensive publicity.
