History of construction
After December 1949, Jichang district was set up as the residence of the county government.
In 1952, it was renamed Chengguan District.
In 1958, after Kangwu county was established, it became the bank gate management area of Kangning commune.
In December 1961, Kangxian county was restored. The county government moved to Tsui and set up a commune at the entrance of Tai'an.
In December 1983, it was changed to anmenkou township.
In September 1985, anmenkou township was changed into anmenkou town.
