Xinchengzi Tibetan Township, belonging to Dangchang County, Longnan City, Gansu Province, is located in the southeast of Dangchang county. It is adjacent to linjiangpu town in the East, Guanting town in the southeast, Zhouqu County of Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in the southwest, Chengguan town in the west, and chela Township in the north. It is 6.5 km away from Dangchang County, with a total area of 209.4 square kilometers.
Before 1949, Xinchengzi Tibetan Township belonged to Dangchang Town, Min county; on July 15, 1984, Xinchengzi township was changed into Xinchengzi Tibetan township. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of Xinchengzi Tibetan township was 8065. As of June 2020, Xinchengzi Tibetan countryside has jurisdiction over 10 administrative villages, and the Township People's government is stationed in Xinchengzi village.

History of construction
Before 1949, it belonged to Dangchang Town, Minxian county.
In 1950, the territory set up laoshuchuan Township, Linjiang district.
In December 1952, Daheba township was set up in the territory.
In June 1954, Daheba township was designated as the administrative committee of guizhouqu.
In April 1956, Daheba Township returned to Dangchang.
In November 1958, three administrative areas, Xinchengzi, Daheba and laoshuchuan, were set up, belonging to Linjiang commune.
In April 1961, Xinchengzi commune was established.
In October 1983, Xinchengzi commune was transformed into Xinchengzi township.
On July 15, 1984, Xinchengzi township was changed into Xinchengzi Tibetan township.
