Huangjian township is located at the junction of Xiuning County in Anhui Province, Chun'an County and Kaihua County in Zhejiang Province, Qixi town in Kaihua County in the south, Baiji Township in the East and Zhongzhou town in Chun'an County in the East. It is 33 kilometers away from fenkou Town, the second largest town in Chun'an County, Linxi town in the west, Yuanfang Township in the north, and 43 kilometers away from Tunxi.

The total land area of the township is 39.05 square kilometers, with an average altitude of 820 meters and the highest altitude of 1293.7 meters. Huangjian township is located 58 kilometers away from Xiuning County in Anhui Province, at the junction of Chun'an County and Kaihua County in Zhejiang Province. The township governs three administrative villages with a total population of 2483 (2017). Huangjianling is located in the middle of Baiji mountains, which is the inevitable passage from shifutun River to Huangjian. In history, it used to be a natural pass that was easy to defend but difficult to attack. Yuanhuang highway spiraled up from Tunxi to Chakou along national highway 205, then turned 10 kilometers to the East and crossed huangjianling to reach Huangjian township. Because of the inconvenient transportation, Huangjian township has long been a well-known poor township. It used to be a few villages in the whole province where there were no access roads, no electricity and no telephone. All the food and daily necessities were imported from outside. In 2002, the per capita income of farmers in the township was only 583 yuan, and the financial income was less than 40000 yuan, which was the lowest of the two indicators in the city. More than 40 years ago, the people of Huangjian wanted to build roads. In 1984, the 24 km Yuanhuang highway was officially started. However, due to the lack of funds, the construction of Yuanhuang highway was stopped. After 13 years, it was basically completed in 1996.

Economics

In addition, there are 799 people who have been working abroad for more than six months, and their income accounts for more than 60% - 70% of the total income of Huangjian farmers. Huangjian Township attaches great importance to education, and is the first township in the province to reduce and remit tuition and miscellaneous fees for students in the stage of compulsory education. The enrollment rate of primary schools reached 100%, and that of junior middle schools reached 96%.
