Xinbang town
Xinbang town belongs to Songjiang District of Shanghai. It is located in the southwest of Songjiang District, adjacent to Rutang and Maogang town in the East, Fengjing town in Jinshan District in the south, bainiutang in the west, and Liantang Town in Qingpu District in the north. In 2017, the town covers an area of 44.75 square kilometers, with 11 administrative villages and 1 Street community, with a total population of 32792. In 2012, the added value of Xinbang town was 2.098 billion yuan, the total industrial and agricultural output value was 7.196 billion yuan, and the retail sales of social consumer goods was 731 million yuan.
Xinbang town is one of the nine pilot towns of new rural construction in Shanghai. There are many scenic spots in the town, such as Dafang temple, historical materials exhibition hall of peasant riots in Chenyun and Songjiang areas, peony garden and so on.
In July 2020, the National Patriotic Health Association confirmed Xinbang town as a national health Township in 2019.
History of construction
In the spring and Autumn period, it belonged to Wu, and after Helu, it belonged to the east of Changshui county. At the beginning of the Warring States period, Wu was defeated and belonged to Yue. In the middle period, it belonged to Chu. In the Qin Dynasty, it was in the east of Shuixian, the prefect of Kuaiji county (in the 37th year of the first emperor of Qin Dynasty, Changshui county was changed into Quan county), the north of Haiyan County and the south of Lou county.
Tang Tianbao ten years (751), cut Jiaxing County East, Kunshan County South, Haiyan County North, set Huating County, which is under the jurisdiction of Wujun Huating county.
In Song Dynasty, it belonged to Fengjing Township, Huating County, Xiuzhou, Jiahe County, Liangzhe road.
In Yuan Dynasty, it belonged to Fengjing Township, Huating County, Jiaxing Road, Zhexi Road, Jiangnan.
In the Ming Dynasty, it belonged to Fengjing Township, Huating County, Songjiang Prefecture, nanzhili.
In 1645, it was Fengjing Township, Huating County, Songjiang Prefecture, Jiangnan province. In the 13th year of Shunzhi (1656), Fengjing and Xupu townships and half of Jixian, Huating, Xiuzhu and Xianshan townships in the southwest of Huating county were analyzed. Lou county was built in Fengjing Township, Lou County, Songjiang Prefecture, Jiangnan province.
In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), Lou county and Huating County merged into Huating County, which was Fengjing township of Huating County in Jiangsu Province at that time; in the third year of the Republic of China (1914), Huating county was renamed Songjiang County, which was renamed Fengjing township of Songjiang County. In 1929, Fengjing District, Songjiang County, Jiangsu Province, tried out the district system. In 1933, it belonged to Fengjing District, Songjiang County, Jiangsu Province. In 1936, it was under the jurisdiction of Fengjing District, Songjiang County, Jiangsu Province. From 1937 to 1945, it belonged to Songjiang Special Administrative Region. After the victory of the Anti Japanese War, the old system was restored and still belonged to Fengjing District, Songjiang County, Jiangsu Province. In April 1947, Fengjing district and Tiankun District merged into Tianfeng District, which belonged to Tianfeng District of Songjiang County. In August 1947, Tianfeng district was divided into Tiankun district and Fengjing district. After several demolition and consolidation, the township was still Fengjing District until liberation on May 11, 1949.
In June 1949, Jiangsu Province was divided into two administrative offices in southern and Northern Jiangsu, which were under the jurisdiction of the sixth Township Joint Office of Songjiang County, Songjiang District, Southern Jiangsu administrative office. In August of the same year, the joint office was removed and Fengjing district and Shihu district were built. Xinbang district was divided into Lujing Township and Xinwen Township in Shihu district and zhuangchang Township, Xinshi Township and wangqian Township in Fengjing district.
In March 1950, Shihu district was abolished and Lujing and Xinwen townships were assigned to Fengjing district.
In January 1951, the organizational system of Jiangsu Province was restored, which belonged to Fengjing District of Songjiang County, Songjiang special district of Jiangsu Province.
In March 1958, Songjiang District was abolished and Songjiang County was changed into Suzhou District. In September of the same year, Yuejin people's commune was established.
In March 1959, it was renamed Xinbang people's commune, and its upper branch remained unchanged. In November of the same year, Songjiang County was transferred to Shanghai, which was then Songjiang County of Shanghai.
In 1984, Xinbang township was set up; in 1994, Xinbang township was removed to build a town, and Shangli remained unchanged.
In June 1998, Songjiang was removed from the county and built into a district under the jurisdiction of Songjiang District of Shanghai.

Xinbang belongs to the north subtropical monsoon region, which is affected by the alternating cold and warm air flow. It has four distinct seasons, mild climate, abundant rainfall, sufficient sunshine, long frost free period, and superior agricultural climate conditions. But the climate is different from year to year, sometimes there are abnormal weather which is beyond the general climate law.

Xinbang area has no mountains and low and flat terrain. Most of the area is 3.3-3.5 meters above Wusong, with an average elevation of 3.30 meters; the southeast part is slightly higher, with an average elevation of 3.50-4.00 meters; the northwest part is slightly lower, with an average elevation of 2.80-3.20 meters. It is one of the famous "three Mao" (Yuanmao, Damao, Changmao) areas in Songjiang.

In 2006, the town of new town had 9005 registered residence and 27630 people, including 13664 men and 13966 women, 20038 agricultural population and 7592 non agriculture population. The population density is 617 people per square kilometer, 22 less than that in 2000.
At the end of 2009, there were 8942 households in the town, 27060 registered residence, 13774 of whom were women and 8670 from the non agricultural population. The floating population is 11405. In 2014, the total population was 38000.
By the end of 2017, there were 32792 permanent residents.

Xinbang town is located in the southwest of Shanghai, upstream of Huangpu River, Jinshan District in the South and Qingpu District in the northwest. Shanghai Hangzhou railway, Shanghai Kunming Expressway and Shenjiahu Expressway run through the whole town, 40 km away from Shanghai and 110 km away from Hangzhou. The central city of Shanghai and Zhejiang can be reached within one hour by car. Lianfeng line, songxinfeng line and Songxin line buses can directly reach Shanghai urban area, Songjiang urban area or surrounding villages and towns. There are No.75 and No.76 buses connecting villages in the town.

In 2006, the whole town of Xinbang paid 259.5 million yuan of state taxes, 635.1 million yuan of collective profits and accumulation, and 6950 yuan of farmers' per capita distribution, an increase of 772.2 times, 60.6 times and 49.7 times respectively over 1969.
In 2012, the total industrial and agricultural output value of Xinbang town was 7.196 billion yuan, including 6.981 billion yuan of industrial output value, 215 million yuan of agricultural output value and 731 million yuan of retail sales of social consumer goods. The added value reached 2.098 billion yuan, an increase of 7.1% over 2011. Among them, the added value of the primary industry is 91 million yuan; the added value of the secondary industry is 1.282 billion yuan; and the added value of the tertiary industry is 725 million yuan.

Xinbang town has always been dominated by agriculture. In 2006, the total income of the primary industry was 860 million yuan, 6.5 times higher than that in 1978.
In 2012, the total agricultural output value of Xinbang town was 214.9 million yuan, an increase of 10.2% over the previous year, including 101 million yuan for planting, 3.03 million yuan for forestry, 90.66 million yuan for animal husbandry and 01.8 million yuan for fishery. The total sown area of crops is 3551.1 hectares, and the total grain yield is 20712 tons, including 1876 hectares of rice, 8.57 tons per hectare, and 16067.9 tons; 1040.1 hectares of wheat, 4.47 tons per hectare, and 4644 tons per hectare. 370 hectares of vegetables were sown, with a total yield of 36427 tons; 30 hectares of melons were sown, with a total yield of 675 tons. The forest area is 469.4 hectares. There are 31000 live pigs, 1698 tons of meat and poultry, 463 tons of fresh eggs and 979 tons of fresh water products. The number of family farms has increased from 155 in 2007 to 254 in 2012, with 25213 mu of grain fields and 99.3 mu per household.
