Guzhang Park
Guzhang park is located in sanlitian village, Yanquan street. It is said that in 803 ad, Han Yu, the head of the eight great masters of the Tang and Song Dynasties, who was the censor at that time, was demoted to be the magistrate of Yangshan County in Lianzhou because of the above complaint against drought, hunger and the malpractice of the palace market. In the 21st year of Zhenyuan (805 A.D.), Han Yu was pardoned. On his way back to the north, he was on standby in Chenzhou for three months, during which he planted this camphor tree. Han Yu's posthumous title is Wen, also known as Han Wengong. It is said that he came down to earth as Wenqu star. Therefore, this tree is honored as Wenxing Guzhang by later generations.
