Xifeng Town, subordinate to Suzhou District, Jiuquan City, Gansu Province, is located in the southwest suburb of Suzhou City, connecting Jiuquan City new urban area in the East, Wenshu town in Jiayuguan City in the west, industrial park in the south suburb in the South and Taolai River style line in the north. The town is 5.5km wide from east to west, 6km long from north to south, with a total area of 48.02km2.
Before 1949, it belonged to southwest township. In 1983, it was changed to Xifeng township. In February 2016, Xifeng township was abolished and Xifeng town was officially established. As of February 2020, Xifeng town has a total population of 11150. As of June 2020, Xifeng town has nine administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the people's Government of Xifeng town is located in tarsi village, No.1 Jiuwen road.
In 2011, the per capita net income of farmers in Xifeng town was 8458 yuan, an increase of 12.8% over the previous year, 53.53 times of 1978. In 2018, Xifeng town has three comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
Before 1949, it belonged to southwest township. After 1949, the southwest district was established.
In 1952, it was divided into southwest district and suburban district (ten districts).
In 1955, Xifeng, XiangZhuang and Fenghou were merged.
In 1958, He3 Township established Xifeng commune.
In 1961, the system was adjusted and pulaigou, Houjiagou, shashaba and fengjiagou were separated to build Fenghou commune.
In 1965, Fenghou commune was incorporated into Xifeng commune, and fengjiagou was incorporated into Manjusri commune.
In September 1966, Xifeng commune was renamed red flag commune.
In 1971, it was renamed Xifeng commune.
In 1983, it was changed to Xifeng township.
In February 2016, according to the spirit of the document "reply on eight townships including Quanhu Township, Suzhou District, Jiuquan City" issued by the Department of civil affairs of Gansu Province (GMF No. 50), the Suzhou District Party committee decided to cancel Xifeng Township and formally establish Xifeng town.
