Yuwan Township
Yuwan Township, belonging to Jingning County, Pingliang City, Gansu Province, is located in the southeast of Jingning County, bordering Zhuanglang County in the East, Renda Township in the south, Lidian town in the West and Leida Township in the north. It is 47 kilometers away from Jingning County. The total administrative area is 50 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the registered residence of Yu Wan township was 10674.
Yuwan township is named after the old name of qingcaotan, where the township government is located. After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), the territory belongs to yuncui and Xinmin respectively. In September 1958, it belonged to the democratic and Yonghe commune. In 1959, democratic commune was merged into Leida commune, Yonghe commune into Lidian commune. In December 1979, Yuwan commune was established by dividing four brigades from Lidian commune and six brigades from Leida commune. In November 1983, it was changed to Yuwan township. As of June 2020, Yuwan rural area has jurisdiction over 9 administrative villages.
