Gangou town

Gangou town is subordinate to Jingning County, Pingliang City, Gansu Province. It is located in the west of Jingning County, adjacent to Weirong town and Chengchuan town in the East, Shuangxian town and Zhiping town in the south, Xindian Township and Sihe town in the West and Xixiang town in the north. The administrative area of the town is 172 square kilometers.

After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it belonged to Mintun township. In December 1961, it was changed into Gangou commune. In November 1983, it was changed to Gangou township. In 2015, the township was replaced by township. By the end of 2018, the registered residence of ganger was 32502. As of June 2020, there are 19 administrative villages under the jurisdiction of Gangou Town, and the people's Government of the town is located in Gangou village.

At the end of 2011, the per capita net income of farmers in Gangou town was 2100 yuan. By the end of 2018, there were three industrial enterprises in Gangou Town, including three supermarkets or comprehensive stores with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it belonged to Mintun township.

In August 1949, the Fifth District (Gangou District) was established.

In June 1955, it was renamed Gangou district.

In September 1958, the Democratic Alliance commune was established.

In December 1961, it was changed into Gangou commune.

In November 1983, it was changed to Gangou township.

In December 2003, Qichuan township was incorporated into the city.
