Zhaodun Township
Zhaodun Township, belonging to Zhuanglang County, Pingliang City, Gansu Province, is located in the northwest of Zhuanglang County, adjacent to Nanhu town in the East and south, Yuebao Township in the northeast, Jingning County across the river in the west, and Longde County of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region in the north. The total area of the administrative area is 83.98 square kilometers, and at the end of 2018, the registered residence population of Zhao lung township is 16508.
Zhaodun township is named after the township government's residence in zhaojiadun. Before 1949, it belonged to Weixin town. After 1949, it belonged to Shifu, Yangchuan and Guandao townships. As of June 2020, zhaodun township has jurisdiction over 13 administrative villages.

Zhaodun township is named after the township government's residence in zhaojiadun.
Before 1949, it belonged to Weixin town.
After 1949, it belonged to Shifu, Yangchuan and Guandao townships.
In September 1958, it belonged to Zhuanglang commune when it was transformed into a commune; in December of the same year, Zhuanglang County was merged into Jingning County and then belonged to Zhuanglang commune of Jingning County.
In June 1961, zhaodun commune of Jingning County was set up in zhaojiadun; in December of the same year, when Zhuanglang administrative region was restored, it was zhaodun commune of Zhuanglang County.
In 1983, it was changed to zhaodun township.
