Liuliang town
Liuliang Town, belonging to Zhuanglang County, Pingliang City, Gansu Province, is located in the central mountainous area of Zhuanglang County, adjacent to Liangyi Township in the East, Shuiluo Township in the south, Wolong Township in the west, Nanhu town and Yanghe Township in the north. It is 11.3 kilometers away from Zhuanglang County and 211.6 kilometers away from Lanzhou, the provincial capital. The total administrative area is 88.65 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in Liu Liang town was 22453.
Liuliang town is named after the township government's residence in Liujialiang. Before 1949, Weixin town was in the north, Shuiluo town in the south, Wolong Township in the West and Longde County in niujiagou and limaoerjia villages. After 1949, it was assigned to Shuiluo district. In 2018, the township will be changed into a town. As of June 2020, liuliang town has 18 administrative villages.

Historical evolution
Liuliang town is named after the township government's residence in Liujialiang.
Before 1949, Weixin town was in the north, Shuiluo town in the south, Wolong Township in the West and Longde County in niujiagou and limaoerjia villages.
After 1949, it was assigned to Shuiluo district.
In 1953, liuliang district was set up, named after the residence, with jurisdiction over 8 townships.
In 1955, it was merged into Shuiluo district and became liuliang township.
In September 1958, when the commune was established, liuliang commune was set up at Liujialiang; in December of the same year, after Zhuanglang County was merged into Jingning County, it belonged to liuliang commune of Jingning County.
In June 1961, it was divided into the new Baibao commune; in December of the same year, when Zhuanglang administrative region was restored, it was liuliang commune of Zhuanglang County.
In 1964, the Bai Bao commune was abolished and the original team belonged to it.
In 1980, Baibao commune was restored.
In 1983, it was changed to liuliang township.
In 2004, Baibao township was abolished, and six villages under its jurisdiction, baijiayangpo, mengjiahewan, Dangjia, Liuqu, Chenshan and liujialuanzhuang, were assigned to liuliang township.
In 2018, the township will be changed into a town.
