Liaoquan town
Liaoquan Town, subordinate to Linze County, Zhangye City, Gansu Province, is located in the northwest of Linze County, adjacent to ya'nuan Township in the East, yuanxiaotun Township and state-owned Xinhua farm in the south, Lanxiang township of Gaotai County in the west, and Heihe River in the north. It covers an area of 124.73 square kilometers. In 2018, the population of Polygonum spring registered residence was 17108.
In 1926, the first district was set up in liaoquan city. In 1934, it was established as liaoquan township. In 1965, it was merged into liaoquan commune. In 1983, the commune was abolished and established as liaoquan township. In August 2002, the township was removed to build a town. As of June 2020, liaoquan town has jurisdiction over 9 administrative villages, and the people's Government of the town is stationed in liaoquan village.
In 2018, there were 24 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters in liaoquan town.
Historical evolution
In 1926, the first district was set up in liaoquan city.
In 1934, it was established as liaoquan township.
In July of 1935, the township was changed into a town; in September of the same year, the town was changed into a district.
In 1936, it became a town again.
In 1937, the first district was merged with Yong'an.
In 1941, it was separated from Yong'an and still located in liaoquan town.
In 1944, it merged with Pingchuan and became Pingchuan township. In the following year, it was divided into two towns and became town again.
In September 1949, liaoquan town was the first district.
In 1952, Tangjiawan and Guzhai townships were included in the list.
In November 1955, liaoquan Township, zhaojiazhaizi Township and zhaojiawanzi Township were withdrawn from the district. Xintianbao and sangongbao Township were new industrial townships. Shuangquanbao and nijiaxiazhuang Township were Shuangquan townships. Liujiadunzi and Tangjiawan Township were small new townships. Ancient villages were separated.
In 1958, all townships were assigned to Gaotai County.
In 1962, when Linze County was restored, it was liaoquan and Shuangquan communes.
In 1965, it was merged into liaoquan commune.
In 1983, the commune was abolished and established as liaoquan township.
In August 2002, the township was removed to build a town.
