Peijiaying Town, belonging to Gulang County, Wuwei City, Gansu Province, is located in the central hinterland of the Yellow River irrigation area of Jingdian phase II project, 91 kilometers east of Gulang County, connecting zhitan town in the East, Dajing town in the west, Xinbao town in the South and haizitan town in the north. The area is 193.24 square kilometers. By 2019, peijiaying town has jurisdiction over 13 administrative villages, 89 villager groups and 4298 households. In 2017, there were 19720 permanent residents in peijiaying town.

Historical evolution
In 1953, Yongdeng District 13 (peijiaying District) was set up, with jurisdiction over 6 townships including Shantou, Huazhuang, Shicheng, Zhongchuan, Laocheng and Haizi.
In 1956, the district was withdrawn and peijiaying township was established. In October this year, it was assigned to Gulang county.
In 1958, the iron and steel commune was established.
In 1961, it was designated as peijiaying commune.
In 1982, it was established as peijiaying District, with jurisdiction over peijiaying, Zhongchuan, Shicheng, Laocheng, bingcaowan and haizitan.
