Zhutang township is located in the northwest of Lancang County, Pu'er City, Yunnan Province, China. It is 27 kilometers away from the county. National Highway 214 passes through the county. It is the only way for the mainland to enter and leave the awashan mountain of Ximeng and the area from Xishuangbanna to Lincang. It is adjacent to Nanling Township in the East, menglang town and Laba Township in the south, Fubang Township and MUGA Township in the north and Ximeng County in the West.
