Huangyang Town, belonging to Liangzhou District, Wuwei City, Gansu Province, is located in the southeast of Liangzhou District, adjacent to Sishui town of Gulang County in the East, Zhangyi town in the south, Xiehe town in the West and Hedong town in the north, with an area of 172.84 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the population of the registered residence in the town of Huang Yang was 63922.
From the Western Han Dynasty to the Sixteen Kingdoms period, Huangyang town belonged to Zhangye county and Luanyao County of Wuwei County. In July 2004, Erba township was merged into Huangyang town. As of June 2020, Huangyang town has 5 communities and 24 administrative villages. The town people's government is located in new Huangyang street.
In 2018, there were 74 industrial enterprises in Huangyang Town, including 25 large-scale enterprises and 52 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
From the Western Han Dynasty to the Sixteen Kingdoms period, Huangyang town belonged to Zhangye county and Luanyao County of Wuwei County.
From the Northern Wei Dynasty to the early Sui Dynasty, it belonged to Linzhong County of Wuwei County.
During the Tang and Song Dynasties, it returned to guzang county.

During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it was successively returned to liangzhouwei county and Wuwei County.
In September 1949, it belonged to Jingbian and Zhangyi districts.

In October 1958, it belonged to Huangyang commune.
In May 1961, it belonged to square, Erba and Qili commune.
In March 1980, Huangyang town was set up in the town area designated from the square commune.
In July 1983, the territory was divided into square, Erba, Qili Township and Huangyang town.
In January 1986, the square and Qili Township were merged into Huangyang town.
