Gongmen town
The town of Gong men, belonging to the Tianshui Hui Autonomous County of Gansu Province, is located in the Midwest of Zhangjiachuan County, east of Yan's hometown, south of Qingshui County, new town and countryside, West Zhangjiachuan Town, North Ping An Township, with an area of 178 square kilometers, and 26792 registered residence population in 2018.
Before 1953, it was under the jurisdiction of Qingshui county. In July 1953, after the establishment of Zhangjiachuan Hui Autonomous Region, Gongmen district was established. In September 1958, it was changed into Gongmen commune. In December 1983, it was changed to Gongmen township. In December 2003, the township was removed to establish a town, and the seven villages of Haihe, Maoshan, Yuanhe, Yangshan, Zhangba, Yuanjia and renwan in Zhangliang Township were transferred to Gongmen town. As of June 2020, Gongmen town has jurisdiction over 2 communities and 25 administrative villages.
In 2018, Gongmen town has 6 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
Historical evolution
Before 1953, it was under the jurisdiction of Qingshui county.
In July 1953, after the establishment of Zhangjiachuan Hui Autonomous Region, Gongmen district was established.
In October 1956, the district was withdrawn and the township was established.
In September 1958, it was changed into Gongmen commune.
In December 1983, it was changed to Gongmen township.
In December 2003, the township was removed to establish a town, and the seven villages of Haihe, Maoshan, Yuanhe, Yangshan, Zhangba, Yuanjia and renwan in Zhangliang Township were transferred to Gongmen town.

Gongmen town is located in the Weihe River Basin, with an area of 6.7 square kilometers and a total length of 28 kilometers. The largest river in the territory is fan River, from Heyu village in the northeast to Tianhe Village in the southwest, with a length of 18.6 km. The main tributaries are heyugou River and Liangshan river.

Hail disaster occurs once every three years, the most serious occurred on June 20, 1970, and the crops in most areas of Gongmen town nearly failed.
