Yupan town
Yulpan Town, belonging to Wushan County, Tianshui, Gansu, is located in the northwest of Wushan County, east of Gangu County, and southeast of Tsui Township, adjacent to the south of the town of Gangu. It is adjacent to the town of Dingxi, Longxi and Yongji, and the north is adjacent to the town of Bang Luo, Tongwei County, Dingxi. The area is 156.66 square kilometers, and the registered residence population is 16056.
In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Baoyuan Shangli, Ningyuan county. After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it was under the jurisdiction of Liyao township. In August 1949, after the liberation of Wushan, it was under the jurisdiction of Longquan District, with yupan Town, Liyao Township and Luban township. In December 1983, the yupan commune was transformed into a township under the system reform. In October 2015, the township was replaced by township. As of June 2020, yupan town has jurisdiction over 4 communities and 11 administrative villages.

Historical evolution
In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Baoyuan Shangli, Ningyuan county.
After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it was under the jurisdiction of Liyao township.
In August 1949, after the liberation of Wushan, it was under the jurisdiction of Longquan District, with yupan Town, Liyao Township and Luban township.
In January 1953, it belongs to Weibei District, with yupan town and 5 townships of Lihe, Mahe, Nanhe, Zhonglou and Lijiayao.
In June 1956, the district was withdrawn and the township was merged into Mahe Township and yupan town.
In April 1958, when it became a commune, it was merged into Xianfeng commune, and then it was changed into Chengguan commune, with four administrative areas, Mahe, Luban, bell tower and yupan.
In January 1962, the system was adjusted and it belonged to yupan District, with jurisdiction over Mahe, Luban and yupan communes.
In August 1965, yupan district was abolished and Mahe and Luban were merged into yupan commune.
In December 1983, the yupan commune was transformed into a township under the system reform.
