In 1986, it was divided into Baituo Township and Yuping township. In January 2004, Baituo and Yuping Township merged into Baituo town. Baituo town is located in Gaofeng Keliang hilly area of Liupan Mountain. The terrain is naturally inclined from east to west and from north to south.
