Qiangwan Township
Qiangwan Township, a township under the jurisdiction of Baiyin District, Baiyin City, Gansu Province, is located in the south of Baiyin District, adjacent to Silong town in the East, shuichuan town in the south, heishichuan Township and Shidong Township in Gaolan County in the west, and Wangxian town in the north, with a total administrative area of 255.03 square kilometers.
In October 1949, it belonged to Shidong District of Gaolan County; in April 1983, it was called qiangwan township; in August 1985, it belonged to Baiyin District of Baiyin City. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of Qiang Wan township was 9488. In June 2020, qiangwan rural area governs one community and seven administrative villages.
The main food crops in qiangwan township are wheat and corn; the main animal husbandry is pig, sheep and chicken. In 2018, there were 8 industrial enterprises and 9 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters in qiangwan township.
History of construction
In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), there were xuanmaota and Chuankou 2 Bao.
In October 1949, it belonged to Shidong District of Gaolan County; in December of the same year, qiangjiawan and Chuankou townships were established, belonging to Beishan District of Gaolan county (11 districts); baiyazi and maidigou niejiayao townships were established, belonging to shuichuan District of Gaolan county (10 districts).
In 1955, it belonged to maidigou Township, qiangjiawan Township in shuichuan district and Chuankou Township in Beishan district.
In April 1958, it belonged to shuichuan and Wangxian townships directly under Baiyin City; in December of the same year, it was changed into commune.
In May 1961, three production brigades of niejiayao, maidigou and baiyazi were separated from shuichuan commune, and three production brigades of Chuankou, Xigou and qiangjiawan were separated from Wangxian commune to establish qiangwan commune.
In November 1961, it belongs to the suburb of Baiyin City.
July 1963, belongs to Baiyin District of Lanzhou city.
In July 1964, it belonged to Gaolan County, Dingxi District.
In April 1970, it belongs to Gaolan County of Lanzhou city.
In April 1983, it was called qiangwan township.
In August 1985, it belongs to Baiyin District of Baiyin City.

In June 2020, qiangwan village governs one community and seven administrative villages: qiangwan new village community, niejiayao village, baiyazi village, qiangwan village, maidigou village, Xigou village, Chuankou village and Yueliangwan village. The Township People's government is stationed in qiangwan village.
