Shuichuan town

Shuichuan Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Baiyin District, Baiyin City, Gansu Province, is located in the south of Baiyin District, adjacent to Silong town in the East, facing Qingcheng town of Yuzhong County across the river in the south, Shichuan town of Gaolan County in the West and Baiyin City in the north, with a total administrative area of 139.94 square kilometers.

In October 1949, shuichuan township was established under the jurisdiction of Shidong District, Gaolan County; in August 1985, it was assigned to Baiyin District, Baiyin City; in June 2000, it was removed from township to town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population in Shui Chuan town was 24616. In June 2020, shuichuan town governs 13 administrative villages.

The main grain crops in shuichuan town are wheat and corn. Animal husbandry to raise pigs, cattle, poultry based. In 2018, there were 26 industrial enterprises in shuichuan Town, including 3 above scale and 7 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

History of construction

In the Ming Dynasty, it belonged to Lu Wei of Qing Dynasty.

In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Gaolan county.

In October 1949, shuichuan township was set up under Shidong District of Gaolan County; in December of the same year, it was changed into shuichuan District Office (ten districts), directly under Gaolan county.

In May 1958, shuichuan District Office was abolished. Jinkou Town, qiangjiawan, jiangjiawan and maidigou were collectively called shuichuan Township, directly under the newly established Baiyin City.
