Caoping town belongs to Zhashui County, Shangluo City, Shaanxi Province. It is located in the northeast of Zhashui County, in the middle and upper reaches of Jinjing River, adjacent to Gepai Town, Lantian County, Xi'an City in the East, wafangkou town in the south, caiyuyao town in the West and fengbeihe town in the north. The total area is 218.56 square kilometers.
