Shima town is subordinate to Shangnan County, Shangluo City, Shaanxi Province. It is located in the west of Shangnan County, bordering Chengguan Street in the northeast, guofenglou town and jinsixia town in the south, qingyouhe town and Wuguan town in Danfeng County in the West and northwest. The maximum distance from east to west is 7.5 kilometers, and the maximum distance from north to south is 17.5 kilometers, with a total area of 131.1 square kilometers. Among them, the land area is 124.9 square kilometers, accounting for 95.3%; the water area is 6.2 square kilometers, accounting for 4.7%.

Historical evolution

It is said that Zhao Kuangyin, the great ancestor of Song Dynasty, got a good horse after he built a stockade here. When he tried to ride, he ran away, so it was named "trial Horse Village".

After October 1949, the village of Shima was set up.

In 1958, the trial horse commune was established.

In 1984, it was changed to Shima Town, which has jurisdiction over 12 villages and 84 groups.

In November 2011, Qingquan township was incorporated into the city.
