Liuwan street belongs to Shangzhou District, Shangluo City, Shaanxi Province. It is located in the southeast of Shangzhou District, on the South Bank of Danjiang River. It is adjacent to Shahezi town in the East, shangguanfang town in the south, yangyuhe town in the West and Chengguan Street across Danjiang River in the north. The maximum distance from east to west is 10 kilometers, and the maximum distance from north to south is 18 kilometers, with a total area of 109 square kilometers.

Historical evolution
In 1795, the surname Liu lived in Danjiang River.
After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), there was a township.
In 1958, the administrative area was changed to Chengguan commune.
In 1984, the township was restored.
In May 1997, Shanxian Township and Liuwan Township were abolished and Liuwan street was merged.
In December 2001, sanshilipu township was incorporated.

History and culture
Bauhinia site
The Bauhinia site is located on the second terrace on the South Bank of Danjiang River near Bauhinia village, Shangzhou District, Shangluo City, Shaanxi Province. The site was discovered in 1953 and first excavated by Shangxian library and Xi'an Banpo Museum from 1977 to 1978. In order to further understand the accumulation and connotation of the cultural layer of the site, the archaeology major of the History Department of Northwest University excavated again from April to July 1982. Teachers participating in the excavation include Wang Shihe and Zhang Hongyan, staff member Jia maiming and 20 students majoring in Archaeology of grade 79. The excavation area is close to the south of the first excavation area, with a total area of 375 square meters. There are two house sites, more than 60 pits, two pottery kilns, 16 tombs, and a number of pottery, stone tools, bone ware, etc.
On May 3, 2013, the Bauhinia site was listed as the seventh batch of national key cultural relics protection units by the State Council.
