Hexi Township
Hexi township is the jurisdiction of Lanping Bai and Pumi Autonomous County in Yunnan Province. It is rich in silver, strontium, copper, lead and zinc, iron, salt, mercury, mica, gypsum, serpentine, cobalt and other mineral resources, as well as wild fungi and orchid grass resources.

Hexi township is located on both sides of Hexi River (also known as Tongdian River) in the northeast of Lanping County, bordering Yulong County in the East, Dianzhen town in the south, 35km away, Zhongpai and Shideng in the west, 57km away from Zhongpai township government, and Weixi County in the north. The highest altitude is 3981 meters and the lowest is 1900 meters. Hexi village, where the Township People's government is located, is 2100 meters above sea level, 66 kilometers away from the county seat. The annual average temperature is 12.6 ℃, the annual average rainfall is 850 mm, the annual frost period is 150 days, the forest coverage rate is 42%, and the land area is 577.12 square kilometers.

In 2004, the total population of the township at the end of the year was 16645 (rural population: 3802 households, 16392 people, including 289 non-agricultural people), of which 4246 were Bai, 3483 were Pumi, 6001 were Lisu, 36.1%, 833 were Yi, 12.3% were Han and 0.25% were other 42 (25 Tibetan, 10 Dulong and 7 Naxi). It has 13 villagers' committees, 101 villagers' groups (production cooperatives) and 98 natural villages in Hexi, Gongxing, Renxing, Yongxing, Xinfa, Bailong, Yushi, Qinghua, Dayang, Sanjie, Shengxing, Lianhe and Shengli. total population 18180 (2017).
Economic overview
