Mengshiling town

Mengshiling town belongs to Langao County, Ankang City, Shaanxi Province. It is located in the east of Langao County, bordering Baxian town in Pingli County in the East, Taohe town in the south, Huali town in the West and Luohe town in Pingli County in the north. The maximum distance from east to west is 14.4 km, and the maximum distance from north to south is 19.3 km, with a total area of 128.06 square kilometers.

As of June 2020, mengshiling town has jurisdiction over 10 administrative villages. By the end of 2018, the registered residence of Shiling town was 10192. Historical evolution

It is said that the three brothers of the Meng family in Jiangnan moved to this mountain to settle down. They got the original name of mengshiling. Later, the Meng family declined and moved. This place was renamed mengshiling. It got its name from mengshiling street, where the town people's government is located.

In the Qing Dynasty, it was the protection of waxigou in Dongxiang.

After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it belongs to the four guarantees of Shangren township.

In December 1949, it was Baiyang Township, subordinate to Huali district.

In November 1996, the district was withdrawn and the township was built. Baiyang Township, Yuejin Township and Zhihe Township in the former Huali district were merged into mengshiling township.

In July 2011, the township was set up.
