Hydra town
Mang town is subordinate to Jia County, Yulin City, Shaanxi Province. Located in the southernmost part of Jiaxian County, it faces congluoyu Town, Linxian County, Luliang City, Shanxi Province across the Yellow River in the East, Chashang Town, Wubao County in the south, kangjiagang Township in the West and Keng town in the north. The total area is 130.70 square kilometers.
As of June 2020, the town has 27 administrative villages. By the end of 2018, 22001 people registered residence in the town. In 2011, the total output value of agriculture and industry reached 54 million yuan and 09 million yuan respectively, an increase of 2.5% and 3 million yuan respectively, accounting for 5.5% of GDP. In 2011, the total retail sales of consumer goods reached 20 million yuan.
Historical evolution
According to legend, the village was built in yukou from Yuan Dynasty to Yuan Dynasty. Because of the abundance of Hydra and clam in marshes and ditches, it got its name from the people's Government of the town.
At the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China, it belonged to manmanmanyu.
In 1934, a joint insurance office was set up in Manzhen, which has jurisdiction over 13 insurance companies.
In 1942, it was changed into a town with jurisdiction over six townships.
In July 1952, it was changed into a district (located in mang town), with jurisdiction over 6 townships and 63 natural villages.
In October 1958, Manzhen commune was established, with 35 production teams under its jurisdiction.
In July 1984, it was set up as an Township with 35 administrative villages under its jurisdiction.
In June 2011, the township was set up.
