Jinjitan town
Jinjitan town belongs to Yuyang District, Yulin City, Shaanxi Province. Located in the northeast of Yuyang District, it borders Mahuangliang town in the East, Dabaodang town and daheta town in Shenmu county in the northeast, Niujialiang town in the South and West, and Mengjiawan Township in the northwest. The maximum distance from east to west is 22.7 kilometers, and the maximum distance from north to south is 26 kilometers, with a total area of 286.23 square kilometers.
As of June 2020, Jinjitan town has 11 administrative villages under its jurisdiction. By the end of 2018, the registered residence of Jinji town was 18256. Historical evolution
Originally known as Jinjitan, later known as "Jinjitan" by homonym. It got its name because the town people's government was stationed in Jinjitan village.
In the Qing Dynasty, the town area was outside the town entrance of Yulin.
In 1937, Jinji township was established.
On June 1, 1949, the jurisdiction was liberated and Jinjitan township was established, which is subordinate to Hedong District.
In August 1953, the township of Jinjitan was returned to the ninth district (Niujialiang), with jurisdiction over three administrative villages: Jinjitan, zhanggaijie and xiliubutan.
In March 1956, Yushuwan township was incorporated into the city.
In September 1958, Jinjitan township was withdrawn.
In January 1969, the original farm was transformed into Jinjitan commune, which has 7 production teams and 54 production teams.
In July 1984, it was changed into Jinjitan township.
In December 1997, the township was changed into a town.
