Xichahe town

Xichahe town belongs to Foping County, Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province. It is located in the south of the county, adjacent to chenjiaba town and shidunhe town in the East, Shimudi town in the south, yueba town and Jinshui town in Yang County in the west, yueba town in the northwest and yuanjiazhuang street in the north. The maximum distance from east to west is 12 kilometers, and the maximum distance from north to south is 16 kilometers, with a total area of 95.28 square kilometers.

Historical evolution

It got its name from Xicha river.

On December 8, 1949, Foping was liberated and changed into xichahe Township, subordinate to Jiaoxi district.

On May 13, 1950, moshigou Township in Jiaoxi District of Yangxian county was divided into xichahe Township, which is under the jurisdiction of the first district of the county.

In 1952, it was under the jurisdiction of the Second District of the county.

In 1956, it was a township directly under the central government of Foping county.

On September 15, 1958, xichahe commune was established.

In November 1958, after withdrawing the county, it was transferred to Yangxian county.

September 1961. Foping county was restored to xichahe administrative area, which was subordinate to sanjiaodian district.

In July 1962, xichahe commune was restored.

In 1967, it was renamed Red Star commune.

In 1973, it was renamed xichahe commune.

In May 1984, it was changed to xichahe township.

In September 2009, it was changed to xichahe town.

Xichahe town is located in the hinterland of the south slope of the middle part of the Qinling Mountains, high in the northwest and low in the southeast. The highest peak is located in the bee ridge of moshigou village, with an altitude of 1666 meters; the lowest point is located in the middle of the second group of Zhongjiazhuang village, with an altitude of 675 meters.
