Liuwan Township
Liuwan township is located in the northeast of Nanjiang County, Sichuan Province, 29 kilometers away from the county seat. It is adjacent to Shaba Township in the East, Shangliang Township in the west, Qiaoting Township in the South and guanba Township in the north, covering an area of 59.58 square kilometers. It has jurisdiction over 35 villager groups in 9 villages, with a total population of 5180 (2017). The township has 5217 mu of arable land. The forest area is 3622.3 ha (36.22 km2).
In December 2019, Bazhong Municipal People's government decided to abolish Liuwan Township and establish Guimin town.
Historical evolution
Originally named Maliu Township, it was renamed Liuwan Township in 1985. In March 2005, when the township organization reform and administrative division adjustment, the original Xinli township was merged into Liuwan Township, the township name was still Liuwan Township, and the township government relocated to Changtan river. At present, there are 20 staff in the Department. The average age is 39 years old, and there are 7 people with college education or above. The number of leadership positions is 6. Characteristic industry
There are a wide range of agricultural products in the area, with corn and rice as the main food crops, potato and sweet potato as the main potato crops, and walnut, sunflower seed, rape, tea, taro, mushroom and other economic crops. The main Chinese medicinal materials are Flos Lonicerae, rhubarb, Gastrodia elata, etc. Walnut planting 5290 mu, annual output of 100000 kg. The annual output of rape reaches 500000 kg. The walnut in Zhuba, Hongzhu, Maliu and LANGPING villages are of large scale and good quality. The annual output of rape in LANGPING village reaches 60000 kg, which has become the backbone project of increasing farmers' income. In recent years, the "two major forestry projects" (the project of returning farmland to forest and the project of natural forest protection) have been implemented, and the project of returning farmland to forest in the whole Township covers an area of 5760 mu. More than 9100 mu of land were planted by artificial seeding, seedling planting and aerial seeding. The township has a good ecological vegetation, forest coverage rate of 65%. The forest coverage of Zhuba village and Tianping village reached 80%. There are many kinds of trees, mainly pine, green stem, walnut, fir, cypress and tung oil, chestnut. Rare and precious plants are: Bashan Qinggang, nanmu, Huangyang, zilast, Illicium verum, Polygonum multiflorum, Gastrodia elata, Angelica sinensis, etc. The superior ecological environment provides a superior living environment for wild animals. Black bear, Swertia deer, horned deer and Caragana are breeding in the jungle. Liuwan township forestry has repeatedly represented the county forestry bureau to meet the inspection and acceptance of the provincial forestry department and the State Forestry Bureau. live pigs and yellow sheep are the main livestock products in the township. The number of pigs raised is 13000 to 16000 per year, and 8000 are sold. It is mainly fed with grass feed, corn and potato, and is known as "ecological pig". Nanjiang Yellow sheep has raised 30000 and sold 16000. The wide mountain forest and grassland, beautiful water and grass are suitable for ecological livestock feeding. The number of native chickens raised reached 30000, and the average household income reached 20, with an annual income of more than 500000 yuan. It has become a new bright spot in animal husbandry.
infrastructure
Infrastructure, mainly for transportation, will be further improved. The main roads are Changtan River Zhuba Iron Mine Road and Changtan River Xinli Street Road, with a total length of 24 km and village (community) road of 38 km. Tu (Tanxi) Xian (Jiawan) highway is under construction. Tianping village and LANGPING village are not connected by road. The construction of 125 drinking water tanks for people and livestock and 52 irrigation reservoirs can basically solve the problem of drinking water for people and livestock and irrigation of basic farmland. Television coverage is 98%. Liuwan street and Xinli street have begun to take shape, with hospitals, credit cooperatives, grain stations, department stores, schools, etc. Maliu village has opened mobile phones and PHS websites, and farmers have installed program-controlled telephones and watched fiber TV. The new street, the township government office building is under planning and preparation.
mineral resources
The reserves of magnetite and granite reach 35 million tons and 12 million cubic meters respectively. Magnetite is mainly distributed in Maliu village and Zhuba village, and high-quality granite is mainly distributed in Tianping village. Zhuba iron mine, an enterprise affiliated to the county, has an annual output of 140000 tons of concentrate and a tax profit of 40 million yuan. The annual output of xianjiawan iron ore concentrate of township enterprises has reached 15000 tons, creating tax profits of more than 3 million yuan. Zhuba iron mine was rated as excellent enterprise by the provincial government in 1999, and was awarded the title of "one control, two standards" advanced collective by the provincial government in 2001.
Education and health
At present, there are two complete primary schools, nine village primary schools and 29 teaching staff. Liuwan central primary school covers an area of 2458 square meters, with a building area of 2200 square meters. The teaching building is of brick concrete structure. The playgrounds of the two central schools have hardened. In recent years, the school conditions have changed rapidly, the teaching environment has been optimized, and the quality of education has been further improved. In 2003, 2004 and 2005, Liuwan Central Primary School ranked the first in Guimin school district. It successively sent 173 students to higher schools, including 29 from Nanjiang middle school. Xinli primary school has set up information technology education course. Liuwan health center and Xinli health center are the implementation units of "Qinba World Bank loan" health poverty alleviation project. Through the implementation of the project, the original very simple medical conditions have been changed, and the medical means and technology have been improved. The problem of treating common diseases nearby was solved. In addition, there is Zhuba iron mine staff hospital, covering an area of 160 square meters, with 5 medical staff. There are pharmacy, outpatient department and inpatient department. Seven villages in the township have clinics. There are new rural cooperative medical stations in the township. The current situation of farmers' difficulty in seeing a doctor has been improved.
