Tea town
Tea Town, belonging to Xixiang County, Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province. Located in the mountainous area of the Middle East of Xixiang County, it is connected with Zengxi town of Shiquan County in the East, baimianxia town in the west, Gaochuan town in the South and Ziwu town in the north. The maximum distance from east to west is 14.2km, and the maximum distance from north to south is 16.2km, with a total area of 137.70km2.
As of June 2020, tea town has one community and seven administrative villages. By the end of 2018, the registered residence of Cha town was 12586. In 2011, the total agricultural output value of chazhen reached 43.51 million yuan, the total industrial output value reached 25 million yuan, and the total social commodity sales reached 32 million yuan.
Historical evolution
It is said that Liu Bang, the king of Han Dynasty, led the Ministry to this place and praised the local tea. He was given the name "tea town", hence the name.
At the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China, chazhen, baimianxia, muzhuba and other places were under the jurisdiction of Chayu Township, the Second District of Xixiang County.
In 1950, it was under the jurisdiction of tea Town, the Sixth District of Xixiang County.
In 1959, chazhen commune was established.
In 1984, tea town was set up.
In April 1996, the district was withdrawn and merged with the town, the District Office of chazhen was abolished, and the original muzhuba township was merged into chazhen.

History and culture
According to the old people who are familiar with the local anecdotes, as early as the Han and Tang Dynasties, wuzixianhao and Luozhen Chaoqing in Xixiang were the favorite of the court tribute and the people. There are many dry roads for tea export in Xixiang, such as Ziwu Road, Jinniu Road and so on. There is also a waterway, but few people know it. By water, the tea leaves enter the Hanjiang River along the Muma river. After gathering in the tea Town, they are loaded on large boats, and then go down the Hanjiang River to Xiangfan, Hankou, Nanjing, and finally cross the sea.
