Dahekan town belongs to Nanzheng District, Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province. Located in the east of Nanzheng District, on the South Bank of Hanjiang River, it is separated from a bridge in Hanzhong City, hujiaying town in the East, mujiaba town in the south, Hanshan street and Liangshan town in the west, and Hantai District across the river in the north. Historical evolution
The original name is Shuidu, so the original ferry is named Shuidu. It is recorded in Hanzhong Fu Zhi by Jiajing of Ming Dynasty.
In the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China, it belonged to cijiayingba in Southern District.
After October 1949, it became Zhongsuo Township in the Sixth District, Yuying Township in Zhongsuo district and Youfang commune in Hanshan district.
In 1984, Youfang commune was changed into dahekan town.
In December 2001, eight villages in the former Zhongsuo Town, namely songjiashan, zhongsuoying, sujiashan, huilongsi, kangjiaying, dongjiaying, zhangjiacun and dingshuying, were merged into dahekan town.
In November 2003, six villages including sujiashan, Huilong Temple, kangjiaying, dongjiaying, zhangjiacun and dingshuying were assigned to the South District Office of Hanzhong economic development zone.
In July 2011, xiemadian, Hanqun, Dingyuan, Huangcaoping, baishazhai and zhangjialing were merged into dahekan town.
