Chafang street belongs to Fuxian County, Yan'an City, Shaanxi Province. It is located in the north of Fuxian County, bordering Niuwu town and Jiaotong town in the East, Yangquan town in the south, beidaode Township and Zhiluo town in the west, and Daozhen town in Ganquan County in the north. The maximum distance from east to west is 22 kilometers, and the maximum distance from north to south is 23.2 kilometers, with a total area of 406 square kilometers. The land area is 403.4 square kilometers, accounting for 99.36%; the water area is 2.6 square kilometers, accounting for 0.64%.
As of June 2020, Chafang street has 12 communities and 23 administrative villages. In 2011, the total population of Chafang street was 50381, the total agricultural output value was 79.11 million yuan, and the total social commodity sales reached 38.5 million yuan.
Historical evolution
In ancient times, it was an important traffic road. In Song Dynasty, there were many tea shops, so it was named tea house.
In February 1940, Chafang Township, Chengguan District, was established.
In 1956, it was changed to tea house district.
In October 1958, the red flag commune was established.
In 1961, it was renamed Chafang commune.
In 1984, it was changed into a town.
