Dancun town
Dancun town belongs to Fuping County, Weinan City, Shaanxi Province. It is located in the southwest of Fuping County, adjacent to Chengguan town in the East, Duli town and Lingqian town in Sanyuan County of Xianyang City in the South and West, and Zhuangli town in the north. The maximum distance from east to west is 13 kilometers, and the maximum distance from north to south is 11.3 kilometers, with a total area of 70.3 square kilometers. The land area is 68.5 square kilometers, accounting for 97.4%; the water area is 1.8 square kilometers, accounting for 2.6%.
Lancun town is the home of the proletarian revolutionist, former Vice Premier of the State Council, vice chairman of the fifth and Seventh NPC Standing Committee, and his son, comrade Xi Zhongxun, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, chairman of the People's Republic of China and chairman of the Central Military Commission, comrade Xi Jinping.
As of June 2020, Dancun town has 17 administrative villages under its jurisdiction. As of 2018, the registered residence population of 44782 people in light village. In 2011, the total output value of agriculture, industry and social goods reached 148 million yuan, 26 million yuan and 25 million yuan respectively.
Historical evolution
It got its name because the town government was stationed in Tam village.
In the third year of Hongwu (1370) of Ming Dynasty, assembly was set up, which belonged to panyou and Yicheng.
In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to three couplets in the East, three couplets in the west, four couplets and five couplets.
After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it was composed of three groups of Hezi (fenzhihe, Taihe, Zhonghe).
In 1934, when the Baojia system was implemented, the three regiments were changed to Renyong Township, which had eight Baojia.
In 1949, it was called Tancun District, with jurisdiction over five townships.
In 1950, it was divided into three townships: Du Village, Panlong village and Dan village, belonging to the first district.
In 1956, it was a Tamura Township, belonging to Zhuangli district.
In 1958, when it became a commune, it was divided into the TAM village management area of Fuping commune.
In 1961, when the administrative division was adjusted, it was set up as Tancun commune.
In 1984, it was changed to Tamura.
In December 1997, the town was established.
In December 2010, the original Nanshe Township and its jurisdiction were incorporated into the town.
