New market town
Xinji Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Zhenyuan County, Qingyang City, Gansu Province, is located in the northeast of Zhenyuan County, adjacent to Xifeng District in the East, Fangshan Township in the west, Mengba town and Taiping Town in the South and Qingcheng County in the north, with a total administrative area of 217.33 square kilometers.
In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it belonged to Mengba town and the Fifth District. In December 2004, Wangzhai township was incorporated into the city. In 2019, Xinji township will be built from township. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in new towns was 22504. In June 2020, the new town will have 12 administrative villages.
In 2011, the total revenue of the new town was 1.43 million yuan, an increase of 12% over the previous year. In 2018, there were 12 industrial enterprises and 11 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters in the new town.
History of construction
In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it belonged to Mengba town and the Fifth District.
In August 1949, a new district was set up.
In the spring of 1958, Wangzhai township was established; in October of the same year, Xinji commune was established by merging with Wangzhai township.
In June 1961, Wang Zhai commune was established.
In March 1965, Wangzhai commune was incorporated.
In 1980, it was divided into Xinji and Wangzhai communes.
In December 1983, the commune was transformed into a township.
In December 2004, Wangzhai township was incorporated into the city.
In 2019, Xinji township will be built from township.
