Liuqu town
Liuqu town belongs to Fuping County, Weinan City, Shaanxi Province. It is located in the northeast of Fuping County, bordering Zhixian town in the East, Liuji town in the south, Gongli town in the West and Xiaohui town in the north. The total area is 84.64 square kilometers.

Historical evolution
The town government is located in the bend of Shunyang river.
In the third year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (1370), Liuqu town was set up as liuquli.
In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to the fourth and eighth rank of northeast township.
After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it became Zhihui township.
After October 1949, it belonged to Liuqu District, and later it belonged to the Fourth District, which was called LIUQU township.
In 1956, it belonged to Meiyuan district.
In December 1958, after the merger of counties and cities, it was called Liuqu management area, which belongs to Liuqu commune.
In 1961, after the county's administrative division was adjusted, it was renamed Liuqu commune.
In June 1984, when the government and society were separated, it was changed into LIUQU township.
