Cheerkeqi Township
Qierkeqi Township, subordinate to Altay City in Altay region of Xinjiang, is located in the southeast of Altay City. It is adjacent to handegate Mongolian Township in the East, Jiete Arele Township and Arda Township in Fuhai County in the south, and Hongdun town in the West and North, with an administrative area of 964.5 square kilometers.
By the end of 2018, 5601 people had registered residence in the town of kirkqi, and as of October 2019, 10 administrative villages were under the jurisdiction of the town of kirkqi, and the town government was in kiriz Le heick village.

History of construction
In 1954, it was divided into three townships (cherkeqi township) and four townships (Kizil kaying township) in five districts.
In 1955, four townships were merged into three townships.
In March 1958, the system of five districts was abolished and put under the jurisdiction of one district; in May, it was renamed cherkeqi township; in October, it was rebuilt into cherkeqi commune and a public-private joint venture pasture was established.
In 1960, it was incorporated into Gongan farm.
In March 1963, cherkeqi commune was established.
In 1965, the public-private joint venture ranch was renamed the fourth ranch in Altay county.
In 1968, Dongfeng commune was rebuilt.
In 1976, the commune system was abolished and the four pastures in Altay county were changed.
In 1978, it was renamed cherkeqi ranch.
In 1984, the village was changed.
