Fengyuan town
Fengyuan town belongs to Chengcheng County, Weinan City, Shaanxi Province. Located in the northwest of Chengcheng County, the south foot of Huanglong Mountain. It borders Wangzhuang Town by Changning River in the East, Pucheng County by Luohe River in the south, Baishui County by kongziao River in the West and jietoumiao town in Huanglong County in the north. The maximum distance from east to west is about 12 kilometers, and the maximum distance from north to south is 41 kilometers, with a total area of 223.61 square kilometers.
As of June 2020, Fengyuan town has 21 administrative villages. As of 2018, the population of Feng yuan registered residence was 46399. In 2011, the total agricultural output value of Fengyuan town was 791.4 million yuan, the total industrial output value was 170 million yuan, and the total social commodity sales reached 500 million yuan.
Historical evolution
It got its name because the town government was stationed in Fengyuan street.
At the beginning of the Republic of China, the northwest district was established.
In 1935, the joint insurance system was implemented, and Feng Yuanlian was set up.
In the 28th year of the Republic of China (1939), it was a township in parallel, with Hushan township (Fengyuan).
In 1952, there were Fengyuan Township, Xishe township (in Xishe Village) and Shanhua township (in Shanhua Village).
In 1958, the red flag commune (Feng Yuan) was established.
In December 1958, Chengcheng County was merged into Pucheng County, and then belonged to Wuzhuang commune, which was divided into Fengyuan, Xishe and Shanhua.
In 1961, Chengcheng County restored its organizational system and divided into Fengyuan commune, Xishe commune and Shanhua commune.
In 1982, Fengyuan commune was changed to Fengyuan town.
In 1984, Xishe commune and Shanhua commune were transformed into Xishe Township and Shanhua township.
In 2002, Xishe township (in Xishe Village) was merged into Fengyuan town.
In 2011, Shanhua township (in ju'an Village) of Fengyuan town was merged into Fengyuan town.
