Chaoyi town belongs to Dali County, Weinan City, Shaanxi Province. It is located in the east of Dali County, bordering civilian town and zhaodu town in the East and Southeast, Weilin town in the south, Chengguan town in the West and Anren town in the north. The maximum distance from east to west is 11 kilometers, and the maximum distance from north to south is 12 kilometers, with a total area of 116.5 square kilometers.
Chaoyi town of Dali County is the former site of Chaoyi County, which is located in the golden triangle of Yellow River, Luohe River and Weihe River. Historical evolution
It used to be the site of Chaoyi county. In 1958, after Dali was merged with Chaoyi County, Chaoyi county was changed into a town, hence its name.
Chaoyi town used to be the seat of Chaoyi county. The name of Chaoyi began in the sixth year of Datong (540) of the Western Wei Dynasty, and got its name because of chaoban in the west of the city.
In the Qing Dynasty, it was the Central Bureau of Chaoyi county.
After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it was called Zhonghe township.
In October 1949, it belonged to the Sixth District.
In 1956, Chengguan town was established by withdrawing districts and merging townships.
In November 1958, it merged with the three communes of civilian, Yanzhuang and zhaodu and became Chaoyi commune.
In December 1958, Dali and Chaoyi counties merged into Chaoyi commune.
In 1983, it was renamed Chaoyi town.
In 2011, botu Township and Shadi Township were merged into Chaoyi town.

Fengtu Yicang
Fengtu Yicang, located in Nanzhai, Chaoyi Town, Dali County, Weinan City, Shaanxi Province, 16.3 kilometers away from the county seat, is a private grain storage warehouse. It was proposed by Yan Jingming, a Bachelor of Dongge University, in 1882 and completed in 1885. It is famous all over the country for Empress Dowager Cixi's approval of "the first warehouse in the world". Dali Fengtu Yicang scenic spot is a national AAAA scenic spot.
It is 14.89 meters high, 133 meters wide from east to west and 83 meters long from north to south, with a total area of 11000 square meters. There are two doors outside the south wall, named dongcangmen and xicangmen. On the wall between dongcangmen and xicangmen, there are reliefs like bricks on the roof of Xieshan, which imitates the wood structure. In the middle of the wall, there are big characters carved in regular script "Fengtu Yicang". There are brick vases on both sides of the characters, and there are ring patterns, grape patterns, thunder patterns and other patterns on the lower part. There are 58 caves in the wall, each with a net length of 9.81-12.63 meters, a width of 3.72-4.2 meters, a height of 2.41-2.85 meters, a volume of 193.5-253.8 square meters, an outer ring of corridor houses and 108 columns.
