Dacheng town is located in the east of Sanyuan County, Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province. It borders Zhenxing street, Yanliang District, Xi'an City in the East, Duli town across the Qinghe River in the south, Xiyang town in the west, and Tancun Town, Fuping County in the north. The maximum distance from east to west is 13 kilometers, and the maximum distance from north to south is 9.9 kilometers, with a total area of 67.80 square kilometers.
As of June 2020, Dacheng town has 19 administrative villages under its jurisdiction. As of 2018, the registered residence of the town was 44104. In 2011, the total agricultural output value of Dacheng town reached 269 million yuan, the total industrial output value reached 912 million yuan, and the total social commodity sales reached 920 million yuan.
Historical evolution
It was a big town in the early Qing Dynasty and evolved into Dacheng town in Yongzheng period.
In 1917, it was subordinate to "Lizi district".
In 1950, it was subordinate to the Western District of PEI.
In 1958, lighthouse commune was established.
In 1960, Dacheng commune was established.
In 1979, Dacheng commune was changed into Dacheng township.
In 1984, Dacheng township was changed into Dacheng town.
