Pingkan town
Pingkan Town, belonging to Feng County, Baoji City, Shaanxi Province, is located in the southeast of Feng County, bordering wangjiayu town of Taibai County in the East, Jiangkou Town of Liuba County of Hanzhong City in the south, LIUFENGGUAN town in the west, Hekou town in the north and pingmu town in the northeast. The maximum distance between East and West is 19 km, and the maximum distance between North and south is 14 km. The total area is 204.38 square kilometers.
As of June 2020, Pingkan town has four administrative villages. As of 2018, the registered residence population in Ping Kan town was 2247. In 2011, the total agricultural output value of Pingkan town reached 63.433 million yuan, the total industrial output value reached 2.12 billion yuan, and the total retail sales of social consumer goods reached 3.62 million yuan.
Historical evolution
It is named for its location on a flat earth dam (Pingkan) in a deep mountain.
Qing Dynasty belongs to yongxingli.
After October 1949, it was under the jurisdiction of Liuba county.
In January 1959, Fengxian County and Liuba County merged into Jiangkou commune.
In January 1961, Pingkan commune was established, with 5 production teams and 26 production teams under its jurisdiction.
In March 1984, it was changed into Pingkan Township, which has jurisdiction over 5 administrative villages and 25 villager groups.
In June 1997, it was changed to Pingkan town.
