Jiufang town
Jiufang town belongs to Linyou County, Baoji City, Shaanxi Province. It is located in the northwest of Linyou County, adjacent to Liangting town in the East, Liulin town and Fanjiazhai town in Fengxiang County in the south, Gaoya town in Qianyang County in the west, and Beili town in Lingtai County in Gansu Province in the north. The maximum distance from east to west is 13 kilometers, and the maximum distance from north to south is 24 kilometers, with a total area of 176.95 square kilometers.
As of June 2020, Jiufang town has seven administrative villages. As of 2018, the number of registered residence in liquor house was 8403. In 2011, the total agricultural output value of Jiufang town reached 134.4 million yuan, and the total social commodity sales reached more than 6.7 million yuan.
Historical evolution
It is said that there was a wine shop opened by Wu family in Sui Dynasty.
In October 1949, it was subordinate to Liangting district.
In September 1958, it was subordinate to Liangting commune. In December of the same year, it set up the liquor room management area of Liangting commune.
In September 1961, Jiufang commune was established.
In March 1967, it was renamed Chaoyang commune.
In August 1969, the Jiufang commune was restored, with eight production teams under its jurisdiction.
In October 1984, Jiufang township was set up, with jurisdiction over seven administrative villages.
