Qizhen
Qi Town, belonging to Mei County, Baoji City, Shaanxi Province, is located in the south of Mei County and the north foot of Qinling Mountains. It is adjacent to Jinqu town in the East, Shoushan town in the north, Yingge town in Taibai County in the South and Anle town in Qishan County in the West. The maximum distance from east to west is 9.7 km, and the maximum distance from north to south is 11 km, with a total area of 66 square kilometers.
As of June 2020, Qizhen has one community and nine administrative villages. As of 2018, Qi town had 35480 registered residence population. In 2011, the total agricultural output value of Qizhen was 180 million yuan, the total industrial output value was 2.03 billion yuan, and the total retail sales of social consumer goods was 230 million yuan.
Historical evolution
It was named after the people of the Qi family who lived in this village in their early years.
It was called xiegucheng in Sui and Tang Dynasties.
It was called qijiazhai in Qing Dynasty.
In May 1949, it was the Fourth District of Fuxian County, with jurisdiction over seven small townships. In July, another Qizhen city was set up.
In February 1956, Qizhen township was set up, with jurisdiction over 18 villages.
In September 1958, the red flag commune (including Shoushan) was established, which has jurisdiction over four management areas of Xiliang Pavilion, Qi Town, shangximing and Shoushan, with a total of 40 production teams. In December, it was incorporated into Zhouzhi County.
In September 1961, it returned to Meixian County and set up Qizhen commune with 18 production teams under its jurisdiction.
In April 1984, the commune was changed into a township and restored to Qi Town, which has jurisdiction over 18 administrative villages.
In October 2005, jigusi village and xieyuguan village were merged into xiegu village. Jiajiazhai village, shangximing village and leicun village were merged into Sanxing village, xiamiao village and xiaximing village were merged into Qixi village, Dangdong village and dangxi village were merged into dangjiazhai village, which has 13 administrative villages under its jurisdiction.

Qizhen is located in the piedmont plain at the northern foot of Qinling Mountains, with high and narrow terrain in the South and low and wide terrain in the north. The terrain is Qinling fold belt. The main mountains are Qinling Mountains. Sanguanshiding, the highest peak, is located in group 5 of Nanzhai village, with an altitude of 3100 meters; dangjiazhai village, the lowest point, with an altitude of 734 meters.

Qizhen River belongs to the Weihe River system of the Yellow River Basin, with an area of 33 square kilometers. The largest river in the territory is Gangou river. From Nanzhai village to Guanting village, it flows through Quxing village and xiliangge village, with a flow length of 9.3 kilometers and a drainage area of 23 square kilometers.
