Renzong Street

Renzong street, belonging to Lintong District, Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province, is located in the southeast of Lintong city and the north foot of Lishan Mountain. It is connected with Muzhai street in the East, Huaxu town in Lantian County and Hongqing street in Baqiao District in the south, Xiekou street and Lishan street in the west, Qinling street and Daiwang street in the north, with a total area of 61.3 square kilometers.

Dingren temple in Lishan Mountain was built by Emperor Wu of Han Dynasty, namely Huaxu, Fuxi and Nuwa. The Lishan Observatory is under its jurisdiction.

As of June 2020, Renzong street has jurisdiction over 8 villages, including 1 community and 7 administrative villages. Historical evolution

The origin of place names

During the reign of Emperor Wu of the Western Han Dynasty, a Sanhuang cave was built here to worship Fuxi, Nuwa and Huaxu, commonly known as "renzu Temple". In the Yuan Dynasty, it was wrongly rumored to be Renzong temple, hence its name.

History of construction

In the late Qing Dynasty, Renzong belonged to Zhengnan township of Lintong County, with jurisdiction over more than 50 natural villages.

After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it was the first and second protection of Lishan Yanglian.

In 1934, it was assigned to the first and second protection of Lishan town.

After 1949, it was under the jurisdiction of Lishan district.

In September 1958, it was renamed Renzong management area and Yuchuan management area of Huaqing commune.

In April 1961, the commune was established.

In 1984, it was renamed Renzong Township and Tuqiao township.

In January 2002, Tuqiao township was merged with Renzong township to establish Tuqiao township.

In May 2010, it was renamed Renzong township.

In December 2011, the township was withdrawn and streets were set up.
